PMNW Visits Martongate Primary School: Delivering Engaging Lessons on Safety and Wellbeing
PMNW had the pleasure of visiting Martongate Primary School, where we delivered a series of engaging lessons aimed at promoting safety and wellbeing among the students. The day was filled with excitement and learning as our dedicated staff, including LAW, PRISON, ONLINE SAFETY, ASB/ONE PUNCH, and NPG, took the opportunity to connect with the children and impart essential knowledge.
Understanding the Law
Day co-ordinator led a thoughtful session focused on understanding the law, helping the children grasp the basics of legal concepts in a fun and relatable way. Through interactive discussions and practical examples, students were able to learn about their rights and responsibilities, fostering a sense of respect for the law and the community.
The Reality of Crime and Consequences
One of our retired prison officers delivered an impactful lesson on the realities of crime and its consequences. Using real-life scenarios, he engaged the students in conversations about making positive choices and understanding the potential outcomes of negative behaviours. The students were captivated by the stories shared, prompting them to think critically about their actions.
Navigating the Digital World
In today’s digital age, ONLINE SAFETY provided essential guidance on how to navigate online spaces safely. The children learned about the importance of protecting personal information, recognising online dangers, and understanding how to communicate responsibly. The interactive activities sparked lively discussions, ensuring that the message resonated with each student.
Tackling Anti-Social Behaviour
ASB lesson addressed the critical issue of anti-social behaviour, highlighting its impact on individuals and communities. Through role-playing exercises and engaging discussions, the students explored strategies for dealing with conflict and promoting kindness and understanding among peers.
A Day of Enjoyment and Learning
Overall, the visit to Martongate Primary School was a resounding success. The children thoroughly enjoyed the day, participating with enthusiasm and curiosity in each session. Our staff members also found the experience rewarding, as they witnessed firsthand the impact of their lessons on the students.
At PMNW, we believe in the importance of educating young minds on safety and wellbeing, and this visit reinforced our commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of children. We look forward to more opportunities to engage with schools in our community and continue promoting essential life skills.
