On the 3rd of May the PMNW team carried out a Crime and Safety Awareness Day to the year 9 pupils at Malet Lambert School. A wide variety of workshops were put on, including Choices and Consequences, Knife Crime and County Lines. The students also participated in the Prison Life workshop where they had to opportunity to visit a ‘mock cell’ to experience the type of space a prisoner would be expected to stay in. Our team was joined by members of the Fire Service, Road Safety Team and Northern Power who also presented highly valuable workshops to pupils. A team of magistrates also joined the day to teach students about the Magistrates Court and address any questions they had surrounding the legal system. We would like to say a big thank you to Steve Gough for delivering his ‘Life Sentence’ workshop and all other outside agencies and staff members for taking part in the day. Both students and staff were thoroughly engaged throughout and found workshops to be insightful.
